Nice shots Freddie,,,That first one looks like he's having a serious talk with someone in the audience....Dick told me this morning the NAMM show and the 2 shows he performed at went very well...He was in alot of pain but managing to maintain his positive attitude and looking forward to whatever comes next...People who tell me they saw him at the NAMM show said he looked the same as ever and didn't seem to be effected much by it...He is one tough dude...thanks for posting these... I did a double take, that is G.E. Smith. What a cool performance! Did you see some of the other Dick/NAMM videos up there? Pretty cool stuff.

Great vid. Gotta love the Dickster - the man is a fighter.
To put on my surf nerd hat for a moment -- is that a tweed reverb tank on top of the amps over Dick's right shoulder??

That was really, really impressive. Ted's right, too - if you just listen to the audio you'd never think it was someone that age playing, let along someone that age who's recently gone through what DD has. Just incredible.

Dick rules. There's no doubt about it. Who cares about his ego. I'm not datin' the guy.
I hope he lives a long, long, time.

UPDATE ON DICK DALE...
Dick is currently being effected by chemo, radiation and pain management slowing him way down. His pain has been unbearable requiring prescription medication so he can rest comfortably. Only 8 more treatments with chemo & radiation, then 6 weeks rest, then surgery to remove the tumor. He is not responding to email at this time and limiting the phone calls he answers. He is having trouble with concentration and very low energy, so he's catering to those needs. He is determined to remain upbeat and maintain a positive attitude despite all this. He told me he's as ok as he can be given the set of circumstances he's dealing with...PLEASE KEEP THE PRAYERS GOING...

That clip was amazing! To be able play with that much fire and passion while afflicted with a serious disease is amazing.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. We need another 71 years of your music . . . at least.
