Between The Surge! and the AcoustaSonics probably around 100 or so covers and around 20 or so active and inactive originals.......
Faves?
The Surge!: Baja, Movin' Slaughter on 10th Ave, and of course Mr. Moto.
The AcoustaSonics: The Lonely Bull, Never on Sunday, Spainish Harlem and Lamento A Go Go.
Toughest covers I am working on: Meet Mr Callahan, and Ginchy.....definately works in progress.

ARE YOU DOING 'FEVER' SIMILAR TO THE CRAMPS VERSION?

'A FOREST' IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CURE TUNES.
I saw the Cure live in the summer of '92 when visiting my uncle in Vancouver, Canada. They played a 10-15-minute version of A Forest that was so intense and emotional I started feeling as though I was levitating. Nope, absolutely no drugs involved. Just a huge high from some incredible music. The Cure were a very powerful live band around that time, and the whole show was pretty amazing as well as, well, kinda cathartic. I felt completely elated afterwards.

I saw them I think a year or two earlier (I was still in high school, quod non in '92) on the kiss mex3 tour - same deal - first 20 minutes "the kiss:", then 15 minutes "a forest" - they played three hours total. mesmerizing! there's a bunch of great cure stuff on youtube (obviously)
check out his guitar in this vid too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yshUFah31iQ

The version of 'Fever' is the arrangement by Carlos and the Banditos, which is a lot faster, more Rockabilly style. Though we rehearse that seldom that we havent actuall played it yet!

I love The Cure too! They had a strange double life as a 'Goth' band with really long dark numbers but also a host of brilliant 3 minute pop singles.
Although my own tastes are often very dark, in the case of The Cure I love their more commercial side the best. 'Just Like Heaven' is one of my personal Top Ten songs ever.
I also saw Robert Smith playing guitar with Siouxie and the Banshees in the late '70s.

The TomorrowMen play a cover of Meshugga Beach Party's Sivivon, which is a classic Chanukah song. Does that count?
We also do Surf Party.

That does indeed count. If it weren't a classic then no, it wouldn't count.

Squad Car, Sleepwalk(not really surf but we as many other bands have, surfyfied it ha ha) that's all I remember right now, the other part of our repertoire are originals and some other garage or old-school punk covers. But it's about 60 % surf. As we continue making new songs the percentage will hopefully increase.

Just fyi--but I'm sure you already know this--"Goo Goo Muck" and "The
Crusher" are actually COVERS the Cramps did. I forget who did the
originals (I have them lying around here somewhere), but GGM was
quite different, whereas The Crusher is very similar.
Oh, The Cramps also do a kick-ass cover of "Fever."

Heh, I wonder what the show The Cure played with Joy Division was like,
and how many folks slit their wrists afterwards???
Seriously, though, as much as I hate to admit that I like the pop-Goth
stuff the Cure did later on, I still say that Disintegration is one of
the greatest albums of all time.
But I digress. . . .

As far as surf songs that I have "covered" (mutilated is probably
a better term), they be:
Bombora! (The Original Surfaris)
SurfBat (45 Grave)
