Hi Surf fans,
I'm really interested in tuning in to Surf-A-Billy freakout via the webcast, but I've tried many times and it just doesn't connect. Anyone else have this problem? I've connected successfully to the KXLU webcast when Slacktone was on there a few weeks ago, but I can't get a connection with windows media player, quicktime, or realplayer to WPGU. Any suggestions?
Anyway, it's great to see that this show has managed to keep on the air so far.

Thanks for the info. The station just moved into a new building and we have experienced some technical problems associated with the move. I thought it had all been cleared up. I will make some inquiries and try to get the problem solved. Thanks for the heads up!

Well, it's almost time for another Surf A Billy Freakout and I've been chatting with our IT Director here and he tells me the stream will be up n running reliably later this morning. Sounds good to me, but that's what he said two weeks ago (He IS overworked AND underpaid). Soooo........I hope you will try to tune in to the stream at wpgu.com. I do know that we will be installing a new stream server in the very near future (new sponsors, ya' know) and Jet & I (the good Reverend) will be able to kick ass to all corners of the globe.

Hope you got a chance to listen tonight. We are up to 5 DJs in studio...sometimes more. I bring in a paper bag of masks which we put on and dance around like jackasses during the show. The studio has a big plate glass window on the main drag of the University of Illinois and we are attracting quite a sidewalk following...if you listened tonight, you likely heard the large gaggle of ladies that came into the studio to yell "Surfabilly Freakout rules!". Believe me...without the masks - ain't no ladies comin' in. Anyway, we are having too much fun!
