well, it's not alive but it's a beautiful thing. She needs a rewire job I've decided. I went afoul somewhere so I might as well start over. She's got a swamp ash body and a maple neck. I did the paint job myself, at least I did that right. Embarassed I hope I get some good coments.

absolutely stunning paint job

looks great, what guitar make/year is it?

I agree, that paint job looks awesome. Hang in there on the wiring, looks like it will be worth it.

it is a fender jaguar ,but it's a licensed warmoth remake. I ordered it through warmoth and picked the kind of wood I wanted. They cut it out and I painted and Embarassed wired it. It will be wired again the right way.thanks for the comments, it's helping my bruised ego al ittle.

Dude, the matching headstock and BACK of the headstock. A whole new level of swank.

Just to make sure I'm not confused, that's a Rosewood Neck isn't it. Or is it considered a maple neck with a rosewood fret board?

Also, If you want to get a good decal, I had very positive results taking a graphic to a bannner store that printed out a vinyl one. I had been having issues with normal printers being able to produce one with ink thick enough to eliminate the translucantcy (is that a word?)

If all goes well over the next couple nights, I should have photos of my project later this week. he he.

that is a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. I haven't quite decided if I want a decal yet or not. Right now I'm not too sure, maybe some pinstriping someday, but nothing for now. I'll keep your idea in mind though.

no man, you need a decal, a guitar without a decal is like man without a moustache .... oh, wait, bad example....

congrats on the guitar, it's looking good!

Any luck on the rewiring?

The Disasternauts

I haven't gotten to the wiring yet. Too much happening in the household(honeydo list) I'm back at work now, so I'll have a chance to work on it. Huh, should be the other way around. Twisted Evil I'm going to tear all the wiring out and make sure that my brass grounding plates are ,well, grounded correctly. maybe I have an open between them too. I'll probably get started on that tomorrow night.

green sparkles.

actually they're seafoam!! Razz

Beautiful work!!

Any competent luthier can straighten out the wiring problem for ya, but that paint job is a rare and wonderful thing of beauty!!
