Hey...
I was dusting off some old gear for possible use in tracking when I came across my old Korg Mr. Multi pedal (phase, wah, double wah http://filters.muziq.be/model/korg/mrmulti). I bought this pedal new in 1979 and it's still in excellent condition...no doubt, thanks to the build quality of this Made in Japan (Keio Giken Co. Ltd, Tokyo, Japan) pedal.
Curious to know the current availability/price of this pedal, I did a Google search and found one on eBay with a BIN price of 130 GBP ($240.38 USD) and a shop in Japan selling it (probably sold already) for 39,900 Yen ($348.74 USD). Wow, not bad for a pedal originally purchased in '79 for $70 at the local GC (list price shown on owner's manual: $99.95)!
So, I happen to have on my hands a rare and valuable pedal. Cool. (Not that I need the cash.) 
Does anyone have a similar story to share...a stompbox/pedal that's become rare and/or gone up (unexpectedly) in value?

I've got 2 old Boss pedal and Half-rack units. Not 'vintage' as such , however they've rocketed in price as secondhand / used items.
1 is a Delay DM-2 pedal---Can't stand the sound it makes anymore.
and the other is
RPS-10 delay / pitchshifter half-rack unit. This thing has an invert switch that's too much fun to use. Backwards sounds and weird Sci-Fi stuff is so easy to get from this thing.

I had an Ibanez TS-808 that I bought new. It was a good pedal but I didn't use it much...it sat in the closet for over 20 years. When I saw they were selling for $400+, it had to go.

I guess this one is getting kind-of rare these days, but not real valuable yet. A 12AX7 powered pre-amp/ovedrive pedal.
Tube Works "Blue Tube":
It's a nice as a clean "signal-boost", and of course it produces distorted grunge, too.
Seems to be in the $50-$75 range these days.

I'm sitting on two old Moogerfooger gems (both original)...
One is the ring modulator, which looks to be going for something like $275 or so around the way.
The other is a little more special -- it's the analog delay. According to the guy from whom I bought them, these are no longer being made and the analog piece that creates the delay has been discontinued. They start on ebay at $645.
So next time I can't make rent, I'll let y'all know!

I've got a couple:
-Univox Super Fuzz: Nasty sounding fuzz pedal that's been steadily climbing in price ever since Mudhoney.
-Rolan RE-301 Chorus Echo: Real tape delay with cool looping 'sound on sound' options. These bring crazy money these days.
-Ross Phase Distortion: blah sounding OD, with the best phaser I've ever heard.
I have a late 70s Big Muff that I'll never sell too.

I have a Thomas Organ Co. Vox Crybaby Fuzz-Wah. It sounded great for awhile now it is a little dodgy. Just a pain to set the dirty levels on. But it is from the late 60's, so I am keeping it for awhile.
