What a great site! The pics are REALLY priceless... Though, the nit-picky grammar nazi in me needs to warn Dave that it's spelled "Calendar" not "Calender".... Either way, it's a killer site. |

I think there was another post somewhere where Dave went into great detail about his Slacktone Amp. Did you try searching the gear forum here? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

very cool, I am still baffled when people say they haven't heard of Dave or Slacktone, makes me sad about the state of surf music, but happy that I am on the inside loop. Jeff(bigtikidude) —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

You gotta be pretty cool to have your own .com site!! I wonder what ever happened to that Slackercaster? Paul |

Hey Skeeter, The Slackercaster gets played at home a lot. It's really small feeling compared to a Strat, it's kinda cool for sitting down playing for hours recording. The '63 jaguar neck that's pictured on the Slackercaster in Vintage Guitar Magazine needs a refret. So, I've been using the neck made by John Carruthers that was made for the guitar originally. It's a bit wider than I'm used to ,and the guitar is a little lighter than the Jags, so, I never seem to use it on gig. We have not rehearsed in a few years, so, I tend to play the sure bet guitars. The design of the Curtis Novack pickups in it are inspired by the old Charlie Christian pickup. Bigger coil wire, and taller magnets. Very nice on that guitar with GHS Burnished roundwounds. Thanks for checking the site, I'll try to put some interesting stuff there. ~ dave |

Dave has been busy. Lots of new videos this week worth checking out. Incidentally, he told me he took the header photo of his purple sparkle jag himself, holding the guitar up to the built in computer camera and adding additional hand held halogen light. Why didn't I think of that? |
