THE AQUATUDES just performed this past SATURDAY JAN 5th at my SURF-ROCK SHINDIG, and let me say this....for a band that came together only this last summer....folks, you would never have guessed that! They played a smart, well-mixed set (trad + originals) that had a captive audience begging for more. If I didn't have my own SURF-ROCK SHINDIG that same day (Feb 2) I would make the effort to catch this show.

Ahhh! So now what do I do? Go to Freddie's show or go see the Aquatudes in my backyard (figuratively speaking)?? Such a dilemma, oy vey!
Seriously, I am planning on checking out the the show in Canton, CT. The Aquatudes rocked the Zen Bar in November. And I love those lil' shellfish in the Crustaceans.
As for the locale, Canton is a very rural, yet eclectic and artsy community . I think surf will be very well received.

The RBNC mostly showcases regional and national touring artists in a variety of acoustic genres. This will be a first for them and they're rather intrigued by the idea. I happen to work with their sound guy and he was a big help in making this show possible. It's a great nonprofit organization and we're looking forward to bringing some twang and reverb to the woods in Canton, Connecticut.
