The lists are really great! Now I know I need to go on a hunting spree!
I have to add both of The Vara-Tones CDs
Jetty Subject to High Surf
Headin' Out!
If you like reverb drenched surf rock you will love them!
Now I am off to hunt down some of the CD mentioned!

Dumb question--are these all in print? Easy to find? I am going to have to compile all of this into a list and go looking!

Cool, first post! (used to be on Cowabunga about 10 years ago, but whatev...)
I can't believe no one yet has listed:
The Treble Spankers - either Hasheeda or Araban, both are very reminiscient of later 60s Ventures, and are contain some of the most melodic originals in the genre.

Welcome to sg101. Yep, I mentioned both of those in my earlier post. Great, great albums indeed!

I picked up a handful of these on iTunes for like $10 each. Cheaper by the album. It's too bad that it is a small enough genre that you don't see so many used CDs on Amazon (or the shipping drives it up). I am digging The Mel-tones, Supertones, and The Atlantics.
