Permalink Trick Fender vintage amp backline!

New Topic

I just got humiliated by the new XBox Rockband interactive game, but it has a great backline of vintage Fender amps including a blonde Bassman! Maybe they will offer some surf music opitions! ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

How exactly does that work? I've seen the commercials but they don't really explain what it is you actually "do."

The Mystery Men?
El Capitan and The Reluctant Sadists
SSS Agent #31

Is that the game that has a drumset you can play?

I'm still getting used to that Guitar Hero, which I played for the first time on Thanksgiving at my cousin's house.

Basically, You are supposed to "play along" with this fictious band performing on the screen. You are "playing" this game provided "strat." It has five buttons on the fret board which, combined with the picking bar, are supposed to be hit in sequence with a moving, color coded fret position indicator. The songs are original versions of all sorts of rock tunes and as the moving fret position indicator comes by, you're supposed to read it and hit the corresponding button/pick impact at the correct time. If you screw up enough, the band stops, and starts looking around to see who screwed up and the crown boos! Frankly it's hard as hell and pretty damn funny at the same time. You then get scored and if you do well enough, ya get paid for the gig........nuts. It's hard to teach an old dude a new trick.....ed

Ha, I think I'll stick with my Jazzmaster.
