I often listen to surf and I wish to learn to play it on a guitar. Can will advise the beginner the textbook? What it is necessary to esteem from the theory of music about surf?

But I never learned English especially about what now I regret. Now I use the dictionary and the program the translator I represent, as it is amusing to read my messages! Welcome. I'm beginner and I ask many silly questions. There are many here that are happy to help beginners.

Welcome aboard Grin. As for beginning to learn surf guitar, I recommend picking a few songs you want to learn, even one to start. Listen to it repeatedly until you know it and feel it. Then pull out your guitar and start finding the notes of the melody. You can also find software to slow down the song without altering pitch, a very good tool for the starter. Keep building the melody note by note until you have the entire line. Then try to play it like you hear on the recording. Continue until you get through the entire song. Same with the chords. One trick for chords is to listen to the bass, 90% of the time it's the same note as the chord. Work through a few songs and it gets easier and easier.

Wow, you so are hospitable! Thanks all for answers. In Russia surf not so popular music. The majority of young guitarists love heavy music and at forums speak about it. I have not found Russian forum about surfmusic and consequently began to search in other countries.
