Well, maybe "pre-Gidget" surf music because it resembles what many surfers listened to in the 50's. The band also belongs to one of the icons of surfdom. Recorded Nov '07.

Oh, that's Tom "Boogie Board" Morey. He's a pretty good jazz drummer (I didn't know that).
Hey, some old surfers still listen to that stuff. Thanks, I liked it.

Nothing against the music or artist, but I've heard bluegrass that is more surfy.

Not real surfy, but cool either way.

West coast "cool jazz" style, right? Sort of modeled after the Brubeck quartet. Nice to see an old brush player--that was in danger of becoming a lost art, but is also making a comeback.

But surf music? They need more reverb!
