I will be in prtland on June 2 and 3. Are there any surf shows I can catch?

Don't know of any Portland surf shows this weekend, but the Brainwashers are playing at the Tiny Tavern on Friday the 2nd, and the Surfonics (that's us) are playing at the Eugene Saturday Market at 3:30 p.m.

That Market gig sounds cool! I wish I lived a little closer, I'd come up and get some fresh fruits and nuts and bread and check out your tunes...just one stupid question: so, do they actually hold the Saturday Market on Saturdays?
It'd be kind of cool if they tricked everyone and held the Saturday Market on Sunday every once in a while.

Yes, the Saturday Market is held on Saturday, lol.
Sat. Mkt. is a great gig, we get to play for a large audience and they really dig the surf. Plus, we get fed and make $50 apiece for a 90 minute set.

We're the traditional closing band when the market closes down for the winter in November, we've done that for the last 5 years or so.
Seems folks love to hear surf music played by guys in thermal coveralls with freezing fingers... Wink
