So you have a buzz do you,Well whoopy do! If you play surf that buzz you have will never be noticed(Wide open reverb, rate cranked up,and a touch of chorus) Also now you have your very own unique sounding axe,I have a 69 Gibson 335 that is totally trashed (Tone pots taken out years ago, never needed to replace them, don't use them anyway, volume wired direct to the jack, frets, what frets?,changed the nut to solid brass and to top it all off the pegs don't even match(2 Fender 2 Gibson 2 No name) BUT!!! this axe plays surf like a dream, wouldn't give it up or even think of having it redone. So the point being, Don't let alittle buzz bother you, Crank up the reverb and play on.

Bill if you have fret wear on one of your jags already just take both Jags into a trusted tech so they can set them up like twins, no need to sell one if you got issues being they are both AV's this is just the intro you'll be playing jags for life I know I will! even if your AV's are just a few years old you'll be surprised on how quick they will wear and tear just depending on how much you gig, play etc.. just like tube amps (tube life)
Guitars are like cars tear and wear, guitar's need fine attention as your car does, tune ups belt changes etc.. to keep them on the road
Good luck man
Cheers
