QUestions for you good folks,
I currently have a Tweed Victoria Reverberato tank, which has a blackface era Reverb and Brown tolex era Tremolo/Vibrato which is more like a Leslie then a volume pulsing Trem.
Does anyone else use these? The've been discontinued and I can't find much about them anywhere.
I recently bought Dario Gomez's El Sonido (blonde Bassman), Head and Cab, and wonder if I should """spring""" for the matching Tank.
Actually, truth be told, I want it like mad....., it is my wife that thinks I don't need 2 tanks.
I try and tell her it doesn't match in the blonde/tweed thing but that only goes so far, and I told her it's like buying belts and shoes.........
that was pushing high tolerences.
But, seriously, anyone dig this?
I may have to sell a guitar to buy the Tank, which I don't mind, But just want to get an opinion of the reverberato for surfy and rockabilly.
I've recently taken pictures of a Gretsch to sell for the "G" Spring.
If anyone is looking for a Gretsch, modded out to the gills, (pinned Bridge, Sperzels, TV Jones Magnatrons and wiring harness, filled the holes and refinished a matte flat black to look like a primered souped up old Ford, so I can pinstripe it like a Ratfink classic gone wild.)
Let me know, I must have the matching tank.

You can make brownface trem with a trem unit between the two channels. Give the pulsating one all the bass and treble you have and set the straight channel to 1, 1 and bright switch off. Trem units are so small wifes donât see them.

yea, thats what I am talking about!!!! I try explaining it to my wife in terms of accessories for a nice dress or ""outfit""" and she bought it alittle bit.
I talked with Dario last night and I will be buying the Matching tank.
She who rules the roost wants me to sell one to buy one. I can live with that.
I only got the amp on Friday. I just got the cabinet in from Dario Gomez yesterday, 2 x 12's and played it last night and it was awesome. I need to try some other guitars out today through it and I'll post pix and reviews.
But man does the El Sonido kick buttocks...... The 100 watt Surfer seemed to big for me but now....... I might want that bad mofo also.
This is flawless cab work, rough blonde wheat, and the tone is hugh-mungo.
Best amp I've ever owned.
