I love it! Dick rules! Nice to see John Ashley in there. And hey, did I notice some pre-stonerisms? What's with the blonde chick just staring off into space? And was that a joint Frankie was passing around? What's the name of this movie? |

Dick Dale appeared in both Beach Party and Muscle Beach Party. I can't remember but think the clip is from the latter. John Ashley was in several of the beach party movies. If memory serves me right, the blonde chick was under some kind of hypnosis or meditation. I too noticed the joint first time I saw the movie |

Surfin' And A-Swingin' & Secret Surfing Spot are both from the first Frankie/Annette movie, Beach Party. They were released on a single in '63, but never on any album. Secret Surfing Spot appeared on CD on DD's "Better Shred Than Dead" anthology but the other song isn't available on CD yet, as far as I know. Cool songs, though I don't think they stand up to Miserlou, The Victor, The Wedge, etc. BTW, Dick performed Surfin' And A-Swingin' as a medley with The Wedge on the Sullivan show. Ivan —Ivan |

Yeah, they drink beer at the table as well although they are supposed to be under age
All of the F/A beach party movies have gorgeous colors with lots of cool stuff to watch for like bikini girls, go-go dancing and longboards, all 60s style. I think my favorite is Bikini Beach which also has the Pyramids and dragsters!
