That was a real fun show today. I almost didn't think I was going to make it, but my friends from out of town wanted to check it out. I'm glad I went!

Here is one of the surprises I promised. This is Miserlou featuring Steve Ashcroft (Dick Dales original drummer) on drums and Ron Eglit of The Surfaris on guitar.

I specially like the white socks.
Why does everyone has a beautiful amp, but dresses like... (1989?)
The amps should stand in front of the people.
Or is this the official surf-fashion?
cheers

I think the clothing style is a very very hip & growing fashion trend known as "Surf City Casual." I expect it to sweep Europe & the far east in the near future. Its very trendy. If you are into this style as much as I suspect you are, you can find this style of clothing at http://www.hsssurf.com & http://www.quiksilver.com just to name a few.

The youngman who did such a fantastic job on the saxophone is Derek Eglit son of Surfari's & former Dick Dale bass player Ron Eglit. Derek also has his own band Ballistico but they lost their bass player Mike Connelly to a drowning in Lake Havasu a few weeks ago so we don't where that leaves the rest of the band. Thanks to Derek, Ron, Steve Ashcroft, Armin Brown, Duff Paulsen and Goofyfoots for another great Surfin Sunday...
