Hey everyone, I was having issues with my Hallmark Custom 60 and Bob Shade offered to fix the issues for me. Since he lives about an hour away from me, I ventured up there with the guitar and he worked his magic. The bonus of the trip was getting to play his 1966 Hallmark Swept Wing, something I never thought I would ever see, let alone play. I have seen and played Bob's Hallmark version of the Swept Wings, but never an original. Anyway, Bob is a great guy and I am glad that he was able to fix the issues with mine. Here are a couple of pics of Bob with his 1966 and then some nerdy guy in a Disneyland Haunted Mansion shirt holding it.

That's cool! The only other person I know who has an original Hallmark is Rick Mills from the Volcanos.

Neat-O, Matt!
Hard to zoom enough to make it out for sure, but looks to be a Dick Dale inscription & autograph on that pick guard. What is the story there? (Just one persons opinion on the internet; seems a little odd for him / that guitar, granted I'd think Sir Dale would have signed just about anything someone asked him to. Perhaps there is more of a story of Dick playing it for a show or recording or something of the sort?)

It is signed by Dick Dale! Sorry, but looks like I forgot to add that here. I did when I posted pics elsewhere. Brian, I was pretty excited to see it!

That’s fantastic! I’ve yet to meet Bob in person, but I’ve spoken with him on the phone a few times, and we’ve interacted a lot online as well. He is truly a great guy.
I also happen to be the admin of the Hallmark Guitar Owners and Fans group on Facebook, and I encourage you to join us if you haven't already!
