Actually, I'm looking at the phone version and it's not bad. Not crazy about the wording, but like the message. Colors give a western vibe. I like it!

I like it (the site and the songs). I'm local to you guys, and will try to catch one of your upcoming shows.

Thanks, Jason! We currently have several shows in the final stages of booking, so should have more dates/locations to choose from in next week or so. Def "instroduce" yourself if you make it out.

Great tunes and lovely website. Really curious about Texotica Reverb unit and Amp. I love the Ennio Fuzz as well. Congratulations !

Hi Jerome and thanks for the kind words!
The Texotica Reverb Unit is basically the classic Fender 6G15 circuit, controls, and cabinet form factor. It was hand-built by Billy Horton in Wyldwood, Texas. I bought it used off of my local craigslist... turns out I knew the seller! Actually some folks may have heard of Eric Haugen? He's a next-level instructor who got picked up by TrueFire, and has been blowing up youtube for some time now. Anyway...
I dug the reverb unit so much, I tracked down a Saratoga amp and bought it from a fellow SG-101'er. It's basically a 15w, brownface Princeton (6G2) clone, with a 12" speaker and onboard tremolo. It sounds fantastic!
If you are familiar with JD McPherson, his main gigging amplifier for the longest time was (is?) a Texotica Presidio 15 (40 watt bassman type combo amp with a single 15" speaker).
Happy to answer any specific questions! Billy Horton really had something special going on with Texotica. It seems like he folded up shop almost as fast as he started. He's an incredible musician/producer himself, and was playing bass with Jimmy Vaughan around the time Texotica wound down.

Thanks Murph,
Yes, Eric Haugen, brilliant musician and teacher ! I learned a lot watching his vids.
Being located in Europe, Texotica is pretty unknown here and very hard to find.
