Permalink BandCamp Fridays - May 2!

New Topic

If you are thinking about buying a CD, LP, T-shirt or any product from BandCamp, consider doing it on May 2. It's a BandCamp Friday, which means they don't take a share of the price. Bandcamp takes a surprisingly large chunk, almost 20%! Thanks for supporting indie music!

It's BandCamp Friday, a day during which Bandcamp waives their fees, and the artists get 100% of the proceeds. If you are considering buying music or merch from you favorite surf bands, please make your purchases today. Paul (PJ Moto) Johnson has recently set up a BandCamp page, and offers many out-of-print, and never previously released albums for download. Over the last few years, Paul has had medical issues, and could certainly benefit from our support. Here is the link to his BandCamp page. https://pauljohnsonguitar.bandcamp.com

Another great item to purchase on BandCamp Friday is the Surf Rally for California Fire Victims. "This collection of Instrumental Surf and Surf–Influenced tracks has been assembled with the intent of providing assistance to those affected by the recent California wildfires. All proceeds will go to support the American Red Cross California Wildfire Relief Efforts.

Many of the bands who contributed their work in support of this cause are counted among the most highly regarded and creative in the genre, worldwide. The individuals involved in this particular musical arena are known not only for their quality as musicians, but for their quality as individuals as well, demonstrated by their contributions to this endeavor. The bands in this genre have a global perspective, reach and impact, and have chosen this cause as a focus for this effort.

We appreciate their contributions, and sincerely hope that this collection of music will provide the motivation, much needed, for contributions to those impacted by the fires."
