Not sure which subforum this belongs in since it touches more the exotica/tiki world, so putting it in off-topic.
Ok this is bananas and I need to talk to someone about this, but I saw that The Residents are going to be headlining the Exotikon in LA this year and playing their Eskimo album in full. First off, who in Creepxotica knows Homer?! Second, I never would have made that connection with the Residents and exotica, but I'm stoked nonetheless. This is show is probably going to freak the normies out: they're the only band to consistently give me the creeps, which is why I find them to be so intriguing. Anyone else going?

The Residents were Hardy Fox and Homer Flynn, with a rotating group of other support musicians. Hardy died in 2018 and Homer is now 80 years old. He may be offering musical direction but the group you will be seeing will not exactly be The Residents. However, if they play the music catalog well, it should be enjoyable!

The Residents are one of my favorite bands, I'm stoked and honored to be on the same bill as them. I play 2nd guitar in the Scimitars, it was a very cool surprise to see the announcement that The Residents will be headlining this festival.
Eskimo is an odd selection for them to play, but hey, they are odd, and this is all unexpected and delightful anyway.
Really looking forward to seeing this.
