Not mine, no affiliation. Looks rad and look at that price!

Holy! Is that a good deal for a '63 these days? I had no idea they had climbed so high in value. Yeesh! I guess I'll keep pluggin' away with my Deluxe. The Showman is still the dream, though. That's a really nice one.

I think this seller’s prices are always pretty high, but he seems to always have the nicest stuff too! Pretty rare color combo on an already rare amp.

I know the seller. He has a warehouse full of vintage gear. He has no need to lower his prices for us mere players. Smile

That's way high. But you rarely get a 12" tone-ring cabinet with the head. With patience you should be able to find a brownface showman head for $2K or so.

$2k is much more accessible Smile
I also don't care too much about how pretty the tolex is. I just want the sound!

Danny, what’s this guy’s story? I’ve been following his Reverb shop for a while. Always has crazy cool stuff.

He's been a vintage gear dealer for decades and has been very successful at it. Much like people who own a lot of real estate, they don't care when buildings stand empty for years. He also plays in a very entertaining band (to me at least) called the Chuckleberries here in the Bay Area. He's a good guitarist though the opposite of a show off. I don't know him more than to say hi and by, but I have good friends who vouch for him being a decent fellow, and that's usually good enough for me.

There's a beauty 1961 at Rufus Guitar Shop in Vancouver for about the same price: Fender 1961 Fender Showman + 1X15 Cab

If I only had the money and someplace to use something that loud I would loooove to snag that 1x15 model...

They're blackface Showmans, but at these prices, I'm glad I have mine.

J Mo'

People can ask whatever they like, but I doubt they are actually selling at these prices. Collectors may be able to afford them, but not most working musicians.

Clearly they are brown. What are you looking at J Mo?

Pyro,
I was referring to my blackface Showmans.
Circuits all that different?

Ah, I get it now! They’re close, but not the same. The brown ones have some magic mojo or some kind of special sauce. Two more preamp tubes in the brown circuit and also the presence knob. Blackface has the bright switches too.
