Who are the vinyl collectors in here? What prizes do you own on vinyl? Here’s part of my collection of new and old surf.

Really enjoy these ...

You can never have too much reverb.

I much prefer CDs over vinyl but sometimes there is no way around it, sometimes opportunities are too good to be passed on, and sometimes I get records as presents. One advantage of my small collection is that it all fits in one picture and still leaves enough room for a shameless plug for my own record:

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Simon, I have most of those on cd

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Jerome, I love the artwork on those!

Simon, I hear you. My love of vinyl stems from listening to music as a kid, before CDs existed. Nowadays, I find CDs and streaming audio to be fairly equal. However, vinyl - regardless of sound quality (some think it’s better, some don’t) - is at least different. I also LOVE thumbing through record shops and getting my knuckles dusty while finding classic, long-forgotten, hidden gems. It straddles the line between obsession and sickness, but I don’t care.
