Would any of you enlightened folk recognise this type of control circuit kit? Possibly home engineered.

I need more info to know what we are looking at before being able to say anything useful. Is this a pedal? An amp? How does it connect to things? Where are the springs?

Still hard to make sense of it. If this was some kind of add-on reverb, there should be a good number of wires running in and out of it. There should be a wire to supply voltage, one to bring in the signal from the amp and one to send it back, and two pairs to connect to the reverb pan.
Definitely looks homemade.
