Just scored a pressing of “SURFARI by The Original Surfaris” and a lobby card featuring The Astronauts from “Surf Party”….
What are some recent additions to your not-so-common collection? Would love to see what y’all got out there!

I love that Original Surfaris LP! I cant remember where I got it, but I love it. Maybe the most under rated first wave band of all time.
And the Astronauts - what else can you say - I love those guys. Great pic! Very cool.

Yep! TOS are certainly overlooked quite a bit and that sucks because they were one of the “cooler” sounding groups with truly powerful tracks that had a distinct Latin flavor …

Yeah, great comp of The Original Surfaris material that was put out by Domenic P. and I recall he was selling copies at an earlier SG101 convention. Coincidentally, I just played my own copy a couple of weeks ago.
If I had to choose though, I would go with the other Surfaris (and NOT because of "Wipe Out") although they were both great bands.

I think the other Surfaris may have been better, tighter musicians but I prefer the raw power of the OS … yes I CANNOT listen to Wipeout at all lol

1966 Surfaris Wipeout, Australian pressing in mono. Apparently, this is a retitled release of the Surfaris 1963 Play LP.

Wow, love that cover!
I recently spent a boatload of money on surf 45s at a record show in Orlando and come back with a bunch of gems but this is the one that I keep coming back to
