Hi all,
I only found out about you relatively recently. Glad to connect finally to the larger Surf Rock community from down here on the 3rd coast! I'm the guy who has been putting together the Surf Rock fest in Austin, TX for 11 years now called Surf By Surf East. This year we have 20 bands from all over coming to play here on Mar 1-2.
Bands: Although we are pretty much booked solid for this year, let me know if you are interested in coming down here to play the fest. If not this year, I can keep you in mind for next year, as this thing keeps growing. I'll be posting our final lineup here as soon as it's booked.

I've been wanting to make it over for a while, though sounds like this isn't the year. I'm in New Orleans and that's the weekend before Mardi Gras

We're always going to be on the first weekend of March, so that we are just before the big music conference that invades our town the week after (which is why our name is a mild parody of it). I have always had a great time at Mardi Gras so I'm glad it doesn't happen at the same time. I hope to get down there again soon.

Baron Mind, welcome to SG101! We are glad you are here because your support and promotion of surf music here in Texas is greatly appreciated! Do you also play in one of these fine bands? Have you ever made it out to the SG101 Festival in California?

Thanks! I do not play in a Surf Rock band, and I have yet to make it out to the SG101. But many of the bands I book do.
