Ok... a looong time ago when I wrote the site's software I added a spam check that will suspend users if they post something that contains a list of "spam phrases". I never turned it on because I was scared of catching legit users. So I'm gonna turn this on, at least for a bit. Hey all, I hope everyone had a great holiday break and a Happy New Year! I did. I started thinking about this site, and you know what, I think I want to start working on it again! I honestly didn't think this would happen but here we are! Unfortunately I haven't touched it in like 6-7 years, so I have a huge backlog of updates to apply and a major language update as well. But I think I want to tackle it. I actually got most of the site running on my laptop today, which is hugely encouraging. I'm going to be doing a lot of work in the background for a long time, so you all won't see anything change here for a while. But this will finally set me up to finish the forums (making it work better on mobile), as well as adding back stuff that has broke over the years (like the gig calendar). Somewhat randomly I was opening some boxes in the basement recently and I found my stash of Fred Lammers' designed stickers and buttons. So I think I will set something up on Patreon to encourage some monthly subscribers if you all want to encourage me to keep going. Stay tuned for that.
