KFJC celebrated its 65th anniversary on Sunday October 20. Part of our celebration this year is to bring back DJs from past years. I’m very excited to suggest that you tune in next Monday for this very special show. (Archives are available for two weeks after broadcast.)

DJ from the Past: Phil Dirt with special guest John Blair
MONDAY, OCTOBER 28 7:00PM — 10:00PM
Longtime KFJC DJ Phil Dirt and Guitarist John Blair will share rare surf music recordings from both of their extensive collections. Hosted by Cousin Mary.

I should mention that KFJC is at 89.7fm in the Bay Area. kfjc.org on the internet. Times are Pacific time zone.

Awesome!!!! Thanks, Mary!

John Blair played a number of selections from a Mark Linett recording of the 1995 surf music concert at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach that will be released on a double album next year.

That unreleased Manuel and the Renegades was pretty cool. Among lots of other really cool things.
