Permalink Quilter US Superblock into Fender Rumble amp

New Topic

I have an opportunity to purchase a Quilter US Superblock for a great price and was wondering if I would be able to use my Fender Rumble 100 as a speaker for it?

Here’s what the jacks are on the back

Thanks!

Nope. That's the basic answer, since the Rumble doesn't have an input jack that lets you use it as a standalone speaker. You can add a switched jack that would allow you to do that, but you need to be sure what you are doing or you could fry the Rumble amp circuit (don't ask me how I know that).

However, you might be able to use the Quilter and connect it to the Rumble by connecting the Effects Send port to the Effects return of the Rumble. That way, the Quilter works as a preamp and the Rumble as the power amp. But I would consult with Quilter first before trying that. Also, how well that works depends on what parts of the Quilter circuit apply to the signal before the Effects Send. Like maybe the reverb is applied after the Effects Return.

Or just get an extension cable and plug the Rumble’s speaker directly into the Quilter.
