Since I'm no longer gigging in multiple bands, I don't need the extensive pedalboards I used to rely on. Purging my pedal collection. Visit my Reverb store for photos, etc. (https://reverb.com/shop/wess-gear-bazaar-57).

Only trade I'm interested in is a Fender Player II Jaguar in red or blue (red preferred). (Obviously you'd get multiple pedals in that trade!)

Please feel free to make offers, and of course I'll combine shipping (SG101 folks pay actual shipping). Discounts available for multi-pedal purchases. The pedalboards will be offered FS as soon as I can get them cleaned up.

Analogman-modded BOSS DS-1 Distortion, $199
Catalinbread RAH (overdrive) w/box, $115
Electro-Harmonix Stereo Pulsar Analog Tremolo, $53
JPTR FX Warlow Fuzz Monstrosity w/box, $175
Saturnworks 3-Loop Triple True Bypass Box, blue/blue/green LEDs, $95
Saturnworks 3-Loop Triple True Bypass Box, yellow/orange/red LEDs, $95
Spruce Effects Rangemaster Clone (Teal) (treble booster) w/box, $150
Supro 1303 Boost w/box, $85

Hey Chiba,
Don't want to hijack your post, but just curious about your particular interest in the Jaguar Player 2.
Pros, cons?

I have been interested in a possible new Jaguar for possibly upgrading. And the neck is the attraction here, rosewood, mod C.

I have a Vintera and did an extensive upgrade to all vintage '62 electronics. But the Pau Ferro is not really appealing. (considered the Monty was you suggested, but passed)

The new Jaguar Player 2 seems to have a quality neck and could be a good platform to further upgrade.
I do know there is no routing for a rhythm circuit,(not that there couldn't be)

I have other great success with mods to a Squier Vintage Modified which does have a quality rosewood neck.
But the tremelo and bridge definitely need upgrading and the price point of that approaches the Jaguar Player 2 at that point.

And then I'm considering a Fender Mod shop build, but that's a total departure from finances.

I've had no good impressions of any Squier guitars I've gotten. They have all needed extensive work to bring up to my standards, including fretwork and new nuts as a baseline. I find the pickups lacking as well, and their wood choices aren't always in line with mine.

I would probably have gotten a Vintera, but I can't stand the 7.25" fretboard radius and am not a big pau ferro fan. (Though that I can live with. The fretboard radius ... not so much.) They kept that with the Vintera II line.

So... Player II it is. I like some of the colors (red & blue), the feature set, the pickups, the wood choices and of course that they have a 9.5" fretboard radius. I've played enough MIM Fenders to know I'll eventually upgrade the pickups, but it won't be a necessity like it is with the Squiers. For as often as I've used the rhythm circuit on my Jazzmaster, I know I don't need it on a Jaguar.

Chiba. I'm with you 100% on the 9.5 radius. Which makes the affordable Jaguars into a small window.
I am willing to do numerous upgrades for the Squier. Or any worthy Jag.

Originally I was searching for the next cheap Jag for another sparkle paint job
But unexpectedly...
I am now going to take a chance on this new/used Squier CV70. I sprang at the listing last night with saving to my watch list when only 5 were already.
I sent an offer, 2 hours later and no reply. Over 70 views and at least a half dozen had in their carts...I just paid the listing at $550.
I admit I was attracted to the color primarily. But according to the seller, it's got a pro setup, shim neck, bone nut filed, and trued frets.
So it's in the ballpark for a good platform to continue.
Standard are Indian laurel fretboard with block inlay, 9.5 Mustang style bridge. Traditional Jag wiring.
I already have a couple spare vintage 62 and Fender Pro pickups.
I think the tremelo is about the only thing I really need to replace, later on.

I have a Squier 70's Jag which I purchased well prior to the release of the new Fender Player 2 Jags. I will say, just as you indicated, my Jag needed work: fret level/crown/polish/fret ends rounded off; nut recut / polish (did not need a new nut as the stock nut is bone, which was confirmed by the luthier)and restrung with 11-48's. The pick-up height adjustment did not raise the pu's enough so spring height adjusters were added. This came to about $130.00. I personally added a pair of of nylon bridge post inserts ($10.00). Now the guitar plays beautifully up and down the neck with low action and no buzzes or rattles. It honestly is one of my best feeling and playing necks and I have some well set up much, much higher end guitars. Stays in tune better with the nylon bridge post inserts too. The stock pu's are also sounding real nice after spending time dialing in the heights (but pu tone can just be a matter of personal preference. But I understand the appeal of getting something out of the box that is ready to go with just some minor tweaks.

I have a couple of CV Squiers, and have had good luck. My CV ‘70s Jaguar has treated me well. It’s possible that the store gave it some fretwork before I got it, although I doubt that, because I did have to clean up the fret ends, but it’s a great guitar, which plays well and sounds good. My Warmoth Jaguar is easily worth 6x as much as the Squier, and while it has beautiful wood and a sunburst finish, which alone, cost about half of the Squier’s price, The Warmoth doesn’t play, or sound, any better than the Squier.

I have seen some Squiers which were not so good, however, so it’s luck of the draw.

I also have a CV ‘70s Thinline Tele, which has been a pleasant surprise. This is a copy of the ‘72 Thinline with the monstrous Wide Range Humbuckers, which Fender brought out to counter the Les Paul. Of course, a low priced Squier isn’t going to have the ultra-expensive CuNiFe pickups of the originals, but by all reports, the sound of the Squier copies does at least some degree of justice to the originals. While it isn’t played often, I do enjoy it, and am surprised by how good it looks, with its transparent finish.

I bought it used, so there may have been some fretwork by the previous owner. Considering what I paid for it, there’s a lot of value for the modest cost.

Squiers are definitely a budget priced instruments, and my expectations are limited. I’ve played a handful which were surprisingly good, but like any mass produced instrument, it varies from unit to unit. I’m just pleasantly surprised that any guitar in this price range can be used on a gig.

You've nailed it right here, and I'm kinda done playing the lottery when it comes to buying a guitar. It seems I'll be putting the same amount of $$ into it no matter whether I get a Squier or a MIM, so I'd rather get the MIM knowing it potentially won't need as much work.

I'm a bit jealous of the people who have loved their Squiers right out of the box. I wish my experiences had been the same.

The perfect scenario would be if you could sample some Player 2 Jags in a shop and pick out the best one. I could have picked up a 70's Squier Jag off the rack at my local Guitar Center (it appeared to need less work than what I ended up buying) but I was in a unique situation that I had a bunch of Amazon Gift Cards I hadn't used plus a chunk of Amazon credit points and it was on sale so I took a chance because I barely had to put out any cash for it. It was kind of "found guitar $$$$".

I’ve had two that were great experiences, and I recently played a Squier Jazzmaster a while back which was impressive. If I had room, I wouldn’t have been able to resist.
