I'm currently in Cincinnati where I've played in surf bands (Fronkensteen, They Never Came Back!) for the last 15 years or so. Before that, I played in a surf band in the late 70s/early 80s in my hometown of Midland, Michigan.
My wife and I recently bought a house in Traverse City and will gradually begin the process of moving there permanently at some point in the next few years.
In the meantime, we are usually up in TC for one week a month.
Curious if there are any surfers up there looking to gig/form a band? I'm in the early stages of building a jam space in the house...amps, drums, bass, a few guitars.

I live nearby and work in TC. I play lap steel... I love what the Manakooras and others are doing with steel and surf.
I play some "regular" guitar too, but steel is my main instrument

Hey Lapsteelman,
My brother from Ann Arbor and I will be in TC next weekend playing on my front porch for Porchfest 2024. We'll be playing some classic surf tunes together as The Surfrejects! Swing by if you feel like it! We won't be well-rehearsed, but it should be fun!
