The story of Ivan winning this is actually a story in itself. I think I'll let BTD or Ivan tell it. Let's just say I didn't win the Surfy Fuzz pedal.

One thing I know for sure is that Ivan will put it to good use. Congrats, Ivan. It’s gone to a good home.

Ivan is the stalwart defender of the Stratocaster for surf, in the midst of disagreement from some "offset" aficionados. It is truly in the right hands. Congratulations Ivan!

Imagine how good he would sound if he played an Offset. Just kidding. Ivan’s sound is as good as it gets.

I don't want to derail this thread but I wanted to say to John that I saw the Seatopians set in the PCH Club at the festival and really enjoyed it!

Thanks for stopping by Patrick, I’m glad you enjoyed it! We were playing opposite some really great bands so that means a lot!

Thanks very much to all that offered congratulations and shared some kind words! I deeply appreciate it. And I guess it's true that I have emerged over the years as one of the main defenders of the Strat in surf, including writing a pretty in-depth article about it in the Reverb International magazine #1 earlier this year. So, maybe due to all the pro-Strat energy I've been putting out into the Universe, the Universe rewarded me with another Strat! And let's face it, there are NEVER enough Strats! Especially when they're this gorgeous and great! I still can't put it down, despite all sorts of obligations tugging at my time... (And that's with the guitar still featuring only 9-gauge strings.)
Anyway, thanks so very much again, all!
