Hi everyone, I have a G&L tribute legacy wich I want to modify with a switchable tone bypass (just the 2 tone knobs), as the name suggests I want to do something similar of what does Dick Dale has on his "The Beast" but not permanent, the guitar has no modifications at all a little remeber that this guitars have what is called the PTB system wiring, just to avoid any confusion, any help will he warmly welcomed. Thanks.

To get what you are looking for, I believe you could replace one of the tone pots with a pot with a pot with a push-pull switch, and wire the signal wire coming from the pickup switch to go through the switch. Pretty simple mod. I don't suggest doing replacing the volume pot with a push-pull pot because it is too close to the bridge and you might accidentally hit it and push the switch down when playing.
