Permalink Sire Larry Carlton J5 guitars (Jazzmaster style)

Is anyone familiar with this line of guitars? I just saw them for the first time tonight on the Sweetwater site but they’re supposedly not going to be in stock until around August. Jazzmaster style guitar and the specs look good for a $600 guitar. One piece alder body, ebony or maple fretboards with rolled edges, bone nut, locking tuners, vintage JM style single coils, C shaped 9.5 radius neck, and JM style bridge and tremolo unit.

They're probably as good as any other guitar made in Indonesia. The trem looks a bit janky though.

Project: MAYHEM by Hypersonic Secret now available!

Never played a Sire much less this model but the other Sire models (Teles,Strats, Les Pauls, and 335 types)typically get rave reviews for being incredible bang for the buck guitars that punch well above their weight when it comes to quality. The trem is a Goldo DG. For what its worth, Goldo makes the trems for Dusenburg. The trem does look like the offspring of a Hagstrom trem and a trem from an old 60's Japanese guitar.
