I have a Burgundy Wine colored strat and I always get comments on it. I liked it from the moment I saw it so I can understand the attraction (Sounds like I'm talking about a girl....) Oh well Philly —Los Dead Fish Philly |

I'm partial to my Inca Silver jaguar. It's a beautiful matte finish and matches everything I wear Danny Snyder I am now playing trumpet with Prince Buster tribute band 'Balzac' Playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta Formerly a guitarist in The TomorrowMen and Meshugga Beach Party Latest surf project - Now That's What I Call SURF |

New member here in this great forum! My vote for stratocaster color is Teal green metallic and Sage green metallic. Olympic white is not bad either. Is the Sage color still available? |

Here's a blast from the past. Daphne blue. Thought I'd really like surf green, but the more I see of it the less appealing it is. I love my Daphne Blue Strat. Candy cola is growing on me as well. As for the antigua. The previous pictures look like crap. I do like the look of the Eric Clapton version that they used as a fundraiser for his drug treatment center. Can't remember when or in which magazine though. —Will "You're done, once you're a surfer you're done. You're in. It's like the mob or something. You're not getting out." - Kelly Slater |

Totally into red Fenders. Only have two guitars left at the moment 1) Red/white/rosewood Highway 1 Strat and 2) C.A.R./white/rosewood Jag. Wantin' one of those C.A.R. Starcasters with the matching headstock as a project guitar but may have to wait for times of greater prosperity. -- Woody —It takes a lot of mussel memory to avoid clams. |

First, I have to say I really like the antigua finish. Always have. dodges brick However, I don't think of it as a very "traditional" Fender color and not really right if you were doing a trad surf band. Also, the original antiguas were much more subtle. More of a vintage white with a light gray burst. As they got older they tended to yellow. When they reissued them in the 90s they really overdid the greenishness. Someone once said the RIs look like "oyster snot." As for the other, older Fender colors, I do really love Oly White. Oly White with a tort guard is just about as classy as it can get IMO...esp. on an offset like a Jag or JM. That said, I have a preference for metallics over pastels. While I do really dig your sonic and daphne blues, fiesta and dakota reds, surf and foam greens, there isn't a single metallic Fender finish that I don't love. CAR, LPB, Inca Silver, Shoreline Gold, Firemist Silver and Gold, Ice Blue, Sherwood Green, Burgundy Mist...they are all just HOT. But if I had to pick one metallic finish, I'll have to go for one I don't think has been mentioned yet: Ocean Turquoise. |
