Hey everyone,
New here but a longtime surf guitar fan.
Any teachers on the west side of Los Angeles or San Fernando Valley?
I'm not a beginner but could really use some help with technique and tone. I've tried lessons online over Skype and find it's very limited so live, in-person instruction is what I'm looking for.

Hi Gary. Welcome to SG101! SG101 is a tremendous resource for most, if not all, things surf. I'm sorry that I can't help you find an in person teacher in West L.A., but I will advise that Master Surf Guitar Instructor: Alex Anthony Faide of Los Twang Marvels offers online lessons in the "Guitar Instruction" section, here https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/24987/. Alex is one of the most accomplished surf guitarists on the planet. The forums, downloads, surf video section, in the forums, and more are a treasure trove of information. Happy hunting!

Looks like as of 2018, he is no longer offering lessons. Anyone have an update on that?
