It was sold out for a few weeks or months, I'm not sure about that, but now it's available. I ordered mine a week ago. It's a cool DVD and a must have for every surfer!

This DVD clarifies what surf music is and is not. It is music that has you feel as if you are surfing. This is not specific to tone or texture of the guitar. It doesn't even require a guitar. Harpsichords sound surfy to me.

So, surf music is not relaxing music. It is not laze on the beach, chill out, or volleyball babes music. If it sounds right on an elevator it's not surf music.

Hi All,
New to the site. I picked this DVD up a few months ago. It had such cool stories in there about the start of surf music, told by those who were there when it started. It has great techniques for getting your drummer to play the authentic surf style. It's also good for guitarists too. Slack Tone is my favorite band for sure. I grew up on skate punk and they have that edge I need in my music as well as that old school surf sound. Great DVD!

Is this still available anywhere? I see a copy on Ebay for $75 and I might even pay it if I knew it went directly to the producer/musicians but I don't really want to fund a flipper.
