All original museum grade 1963 Fender tube reverb unit 6G15. This a very rare opportunity to obtain probably one of the cleanest real all original 1963 Fender tube reverb units you will ever see. This is not a restored unit, nor has it been recovered. All original tolex and grill cloth that is in astonishing condition. Why? Because it has been in a closet for over 60 years. All original circuit that has not been touched by a soldering iron since they day it left the Fender factory. Original RCA 6K6 power tube, Amperex 12AT7 and RCA 7025 preamp tubes. Original Gibbs spring reverb tank and tubes. All the transformers are original and the original power cord is in great shape and not brittle or cracked. Even the electrolytic capacitors are original and functioning. This is really like going back in time and walking into a music store in 1963 and buying a Fender tube reverb unit! The unit sounds phenomenal and it can get that nice “drippy” spring reverb sound that is so had to get with any other kind of reverb device. Unit runs quiet in idle and has no issues. This is a true collector’s piece.

I'm new to posting on Surfguitar101. I have been buying and selling musical gear on eBay, and Reverb.com for a long time. I need to clear $2,295 after any payment fees and shipping.

I have a video posted on Facebook Marketplace if you want to hear how this unit sounds: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2070758586625571

That is astonishing. Is the original footswitch present? Those brown ones are long gone, even the repros are gone. I'd say that's pretty reasonable price. Cool to see blue molded caps, but I wouldn't trust those orange paper electrolytics. What an awesome piece!

Unbelievably gorgeous!

Unfortunately I do not have the original foot switch. I wish I did. I agree the electrolytic caps would be best to replace but I wanted to keep it untouched and let the new owner decide. I tried to price it fair. I’ll probably post it on eBay soon if someone here doesn’t want it. Trouble with eBay is the cost to sell is high with their fees so I have to list it for a higher price and buyer has to pay sales tax too so it gets expensive.

Whiskeyzipper, you might reach out to Fender. Having the opportunity to acquire something like this would seemingly be helpful to them when comparing and developing re-release models.

More cowbell?? Nah...More Reverb!!
