I'm selling my Mosrite Excellent Ventures model. Made in Japan. It is in like new condition. A great guitar. I'm going to list it on e-bay in a few days for $1250, but I'd do it for my surf friends for $1150 shipped (if its in the US) I can take moneyorders, or paypal.
it comes with a hardcase, Mosrite cord, an alternate tortoise pickguard, and a lighter spring (the heavy one is installed.) It has 11-49 strings on it, and plays great. These aren't made anymore, so they are getting tough to find.
I'd consider a US RI Jazzmaster for trade, or anything of interest to a Fender nut like me.
Here's some pics....

I have an early US RI Jazzmaster (black, hardcase, good shape, etc.) Would you be interested in working a deal?

Rio was interested, but he just bought a amp and cabinet, so I still have it.

That's a great looking guitar. However, I'm posting primarily 'cause I want to see my avatar right next to yours.
Cheers,
Chuck

where did you get a heavier spring? i'm dying for one. zamminc offers a taller one that doesnt work too well on the japanese guitars. and i'ts not stiffer, just taller.

I got the stiffer spring from Hallmark guitars. It is the same length, but stiffer coils.
A longer spring that is the same spring rate doesn't do anything but make the action stiffer, right?
Oh, and I think I've got a trade on this guitar!
