Permalink Interview SLACKTONE - A Request for Question Suggestions

New Topic

Hello friends!

I'm finishing up my preparations for Endless Winter next week and got this wild idea that I could find some time to interview Slacktone. Time and/or interest could steer this in the direction of either the whole band or individual members.

I wanted to, once again, appeal to the hive mind of the SG101 forum for some advice.

Do you have any questions you'd like me to ask them? They can be questions for the band as a whole or something specific to Dave, Dusty, or Sam.

This is a pipe dream and I'll do my best to make it happen.

Thank you again for all of the input to my previous requests for interview suggestions. It's fascinating to see the different perspectives that each member here brings.

Thank you!

My big question is, "where can I find your records?".

The Vicissitones
Diesel Marine
The Rasputones

From the Slacktone website thru Dave

I can confirm this. I bought a couple of CDs from Dave a few months ago. Paid much less than the scalper prices online.

Does Dave ever think about having a rhythm player.

or not needed in their case?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Yeah, I’ve got a few:

For Dave; what do you see in your mind when you close your eyes (while playing with Slacktone obviously)?

For Sam; can you please explain the 2 out of 3 rule for gigs (music, hang, money)?

For Dusty; what was the moment in your life that you knew you had to play the drums thus saving the world by becoming a badass?

Is there any new material in the works?

Got it. Thanks! This seems to be a popular question.

The one about the eyes is a good one!
Is there another reference for the 2 out of 3 rule?

Thanks for the input, Paul!

Sam just has a great way of telling his philosophy for what gigs he likes to play. There are three factors: the music, the money and the hang! Two out of three have to be good in order to accept the gig.

Any special reason why a live recording from Europe was used for the 2002 album 'Surf Adventure Tour - Live In Prague'?

Is the 2005 album 'Rough Surf, Rough Mix, Live In Berlin' an official release or a bootleg?

I bought a copy of the "Live in Berlin" CD from Dave so I'd imagine it's legit.
