SurfyBear issue

A few years ago my SurfyBear Classic had the 12v input jack break. Now, I have a SurfyBear Metal and the 12v input jack either broke like what happened to my Classic, or it disconnected. I don’t kick it, I have a Surfy bag, I only use it at practice once a week and I’ve been very gentle with it. Not sure why this keeps happening. If it’s disconnected, I’m unable to fit these 2 parts back together. Can anyone offer advice?

Just wondering, is the SurfyBear 12v input jack 3.5mm? If so, can I use this to replace the plastic one?

No I didn’t contact Surfy Industries, Ran. They’ve been helpful to me before. The 2 pieces of the female plug that came apart have irregular shapes. I was hoping that some other SurfyBear owners would know some way to fit them back together. I didn’t think that anybody at Surfy Industries would know something that detailed about one small component. I also don’t want to send my unit somewhere to be repaired, if I can do it myself. I’ll ask the Surfy folk for the correct size of that input jack and any other needed specs so that I can get a replacement on my own. Hopefully all metal instead of plastic! I looked at it again earlier and I’m pretty sure it’s not simply a matter of reconnecting the 2 pieces, as I was hoping.

My power jack also came apart shortly after getting mine (known issue it seems), I replaced it with a better quality one. The original was grounded to the chassis but my replacement is not, haven't had any issues. Looks like the upcoming models have redesigned the power input. They're 5.5mm btw...

Mine broke on my older metal unit as well a while back. I needed it to work, so I just hardwired the adapter in the moment. Maybe I’ll pick up a new power input someday.

Just want to thank everyone for their replies. Yes, I do disconnect the power supply before packing up. I sent a message to Surfy Industries and they are very kindly sending a replacement. They have always been responsive and helpful, even back when they sent me a replacement part in their early days when I accidentally connected a 9v power supply to my SurfyBear kit. Good to know that it’s 5.5mm, just in case, but I’m sure that the new plug will be okay.
