Guitar function and appearance were improved by stickers I placed on one guitar. Its absence of fret markers was inconvenient, so I placed stickers. At the time I disliked the "Synsonics" brand name on the guitar body so I placed stickers over it and then adjacent to balance the appearance. I like them.
Don't fret the humbucker--it gives sweet surfy tones after EQ (and plenty of it). The Roland pickup goes beyond.

On a few points -
I have a primary hard guitar case (or two), due to space limitations. No longer is there a hard case for every guitar that this ape owns. (After all that band merch has to live somewhere, right?) Since this ape has a lot of DiPintos, the primary stickered hard case gets used for gigs, along with a stickered secondary, and the rest of the time the guitars hang on the walls of the gorilla cage. I have oodles of soft cases that don't get used...really...ever - and they're stored in the garage in the eventuality that I sell something that I can throw in a soft case on. (
"Why don't you use soft cases, Bango?" Answer: While they do save space, and are more portable, the stress level drops when the guitar is sandwiched between merch bins, other gorilla gear, or stashed under, behind or next to the stage where other simians don't pay as much attention to YOUR guitar vs whatever they're trying to accomplish" - YMMV, Objects may be closer than they appear, IMHAO - aka In my Humble Ape Opinion". That said, this ape is in Texas where there's a hair more room to stretch out - Bango won't begrudge ANYONE doing what works for them, it's your ball of wax, and our time on this planet is too short to be worrying about anything as non-essential as this. This ape digresses.)
If you have stickers for you, or your band, take them to your favorite bars/record stores/music shops and start trading - local spots love stickers, and they love giving and getting stickers, in this apes estimation.
