I have an HS hardtail Strat that has a Seymour Duncan StagMag humbucker in the bridge position. It's designed to be split and has the staggered pole pieces like a Strat single coil. I have a coil split on it and it recreates the sound of a single coil WAY better than any other split humbucker. In fact, it sounds rather single coilish even in full humbucker mode.

This thing can surf! Too bad it's in a hardtail...

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

Thanks!

I definitely have a type... pastel with pearl and lots of chrome!

It’s unique, but not off the wall.
