I picked this up from Long & McQuade on a cyber week sale for $350 CDN / $260 USD.
Squier FSR Classic Vibe '70s Jazzmaster Lake Placid Blue
I was fully expecting to gut all the electronics, pickups and vibrato.
It came with an ok set up with 9s but the frets were scratchy.
To my surprise after a complete set up with 11s, conditioning the fretboard, polishing the frets, dismantling the vibrato and sanding the pivot plate, and putting on a pearloid pickguard I had kicking around... I think I am going to keep the rest of it stock. Almost zero hum. The quietest JM I have ever played.
I ordered some antique white Kluson witch hat knobs for metric pots as well.
Very economical way to go surfing.
It looks darker in the pics than in real life.

These are nice guitars, congrats. I also got CV Jaguar this year and only polished the frets and changed vibrato arm for Staytrem. All the other stuff I have left stock and happy with it.

I’m astounded by how good these Classic Vibe guitars are.
