I totally love my SurfyBear Classic but notice a “sizzle” sound after I strike the notes…. What could be the cause and possible solution?
thanks!

The reverb pan is probably damaged. Replacing the pan should fix it. When you remove the metal plate to do so, make sure and use a hand screwdriver with slow, even turns. Avoid a power screwdriver. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |

One of the SurfyBear Metal units I bought a number of years ago did this right out of the box. It was indeed a bad pan. Surfy sent me a replacement as it was a brand new unit. However you do it, just get a new SurfyPan and pop it in there and you'll be good as new. —Guitarist for Northern Tides from Hudson Valley, NY. |

I had the exact same experience with my Surfy Bear Compact. I returned it and never looked back! |
