So, back in ‘09 I went to convention with a Squier Strat Deluxe in Daphne blue. Loved that guitar. Unfinished maple neck which I’m a huge fan of.
Fast forward a few months and the bridge pin ripped out of it because I had 11 flats on it. Fender replaced it (out of warranty by a few months), but I’d started playing bass. Traded it for my Chrome Red P Bass which is my primary now.
Been picking up guitar a little bit here lately. Wanted to start playing and getting a bit more serious about it. Found a Squier Deluxe Strat in Daphne Blue on Reverb and couldn’t resist.
Needs a setup, so I’ll be figuring that out. May not be the same guitar, but I did put the strap on it from my original one. Went with 10 half rounds this time to hopefully keep the bridge intact this time. Little teeny strings after playing bass so long.

I'm not sure the two are as connected as you think.
Well, that was Fender’s take on it as well, so I dunno.
It’s a basswood body with a two point bridge. I hit them up when I looked at this one, and the rep was of the opinion that it could be an issue again. The half rounds feel pretty good and have substantially less tension so we’ll see.

I appear to mention in that thread that cheap-chinese-parts-company Musiclily makes replacement blocks for your Strat - after a five minute google, I think the part is MX2424 in Brass. No steel, fits the OG arm not the US arm like my Welsh blocks - but is readily available if you find your tremolo is in the same boat mine was.
Thanks for the heads up. Got one on the way.
Meanwhile, it's gorgeous and a great guitar. Have fun!
It’s already been fun. Much better than the 20+ year old Bullet i’ve been playing.

I really like the body color, and surprisingly also like the unfinished fretboard. Nice score!
