Very interesting i enjoyed reading. Back the 90s when i was a bit of multi satellite enthusiast - pre digital free to air. The documentaries were so amazingly different to the terrestrial broadcasts i was used to. I remember reading a article about an Australian based team who produced them. The idea was to create the same visual documentary with audio in as many languages as needed, making a fortune selling to broadcasters world wide. Wicked idea but probably old hat now. |
