DAIKAIJU RULES!!!

Patrick

How about that, Martin Schmidt of the Razorblades playing a bit of guitar during the Daikaiju set! Awesome!

Patrick

Just watching now. Excellent camera work, and performances.

So thrilled to be able to experience this festival in some form! It will be on in my house all weekend, I'm sure. SO wish I was there!

I think the A-Men mentioned the Mystery Men. It's hot here - temperature and music

LOVE The A-Men. Both those dudes and that album. Really great stuff.

Watched all bands on the stream and so far Humanga Danga is the only one worthwhile.
The biggest thing I noticed is that the average age of the audience is 45. I always am a little concerned about being the oldest at a show, but with this crowd, I'd actually be one of the younger ones Smile
Question remains though: is this and the other "big festivals" this summer really representative of the genre? Missing too many good bands on there that would've blown all the bands I've heard so far out of the water.

Digging El Zeb! Looks like Jonpaul and Gellert are in front of the stage enjoying it too!

Agreed - El Zeb was pretty cool. He plays a bit like myself and of course I like that Smile
Indeed I saw JP among the sea of grey beards, bald heads, beer bellies, 1 cm reading glasses and weird dancing ladies in green dress - I think Tien Doan is there too and Gerhard Rinsma and a few other familiar faces.

Too bad the sound of the Manakooras is f*cked up and way too distorted - it screws their music, which is a shame as they have some decent tunes.

Looks like fun, I wish I was there. I had to choose between this, and the World Series of Poker in Vegas! Laughing

The sound is still distorted for El Ray. Who can we text at the festival to advise the sound man?

It's been with every show on the main stage - I suspect it's the blonde showman that is causing it as I noted it's only the lead guitarists that have the problem: those who play over the blonde showman. Perhaps it's blown up. I will let Lorenzo know.

*Pinged Lorenzo about it. Don't think anything will happen about it tonight, but at least I made him aware about the sound issue.
