Hi all, I’m new here.
Im wanting to build an all-in-one multi effects unit.
I have an amazing case which was originally a piece of calibration equipment… possibly military but who knows.
The case can house a 17” reverb pan perfectly. I’ve built myself a Surfybear reverb, a tremolo & a fuzz which I’m planning to house together.
I’m getting a bit bogged down in the details so I’m hoping folk with more brain power can assist-

I’ll need a breakout box for the foot switches for each effect; maybe with a db25 or something alike. Will the added length of cable affect the function/signal at all?
-
Is there any negative reason for mounting a reverb pan on its side?
-
I have 12 panel holes for pots and switches. Surfy uses 4/5, fuzz uses 3, term uses 2… what do I do with the remaining? Should I add a delay unit or just have more flashy lights to fill the excess holes?
-
The panel as is has its labels etched into the metal. I want to use waterslide transfers for my labelling and graphics. What is my best option for filling these old label recesses?

Are there any worthwhile mods for the Surfybear? Dual mixer, gain, infinite feedback?
I realise that a lot of this is subjective or meandering, but I’m hoping someone out there can help iron out my brain
