Maybe I’ve asked this before. But does anyone have an OG mosrite 12 with tremolo? If so is the trem even usable?
What about the Eastwood DLX 12 with trem? It seems like the tremolo would knock these out if tune - yet they exist.
Anyone?

I can't speak for the Mosrite or Eastwood 12s, but I put an Accent vibrato on my Ric 360/12V64 and it's pretty awesome. Doesn't seem to go out of tune much, but I'm blessed with non-perfect pitch so I may be missing something... |

Danny, I've had that guitar maybe 5 years? I traded with a friend for one of my Mosrite clones. Besides attempting to play 8 miles high, I wasn't using it much until I installed a wider spaced nut and the Accent vibrato. I also added a switch to toggle between modern and vintage wiring (nothing fancy, the vintage wiring had a cap on the bridge pickup that isn't in the new guitars) Not sure if I'm the first nut job to do this conversion, but I haven't seen any others. Chiba - go for it! I got my Accent from Winfield, they make a variant that uses the original tailpiece screw placement so no new holes and completely reversible. Though I don't see myself removing this bad boy. |
