I love this song, and I’ve decided I’m gonna work it out. I’m working from this transcription https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/27648/

I do my backing tracks in IReal, which is a pretty good app for that. But my question is this:

is this song in 12/8 or 16/8?

Or am I over thinking the triplets, and it’s just swingin 8th notes in regular 4?

I hear it as swung 8ths in the rhythm section and straighter 8ths in the gtr line, in 4/4 time, with a straight B section.

I could see that. Maybe I’m overthinking the roll in the A section. That section is almost a shuffle?
